What are the domain name owner's benefits?
Registering a domain name with an accredited registrar offers several benefits, such as:
Domain names are registered in hundreds of domain extensions without any third parties involved. These include .com, .net and newer extensions such as .store and .blog.
Every newly launched domain name extension is immediately available at nomeo.
Easier verification of your contact details after registering a new domain name.
Quick notification of any changes in prices and policies.
Low prices, since there's no third parties involved.
How do domain name renewals work?
We'll send a first renewal reminder 60 days prior to the expiration date of your domain name. If the domain name is not renewed, we'll call you 1 day prior to the expiration date.
If you wish to let your domain name expire, you can do so free of charge. Disable the automatic renewal via our control panel to let your domain expire. Your domain will be released for registration, meaning others can register that domain name.
If you wish to renew your domain, you will remain the owner and will have to pay the yearly renewal fee. Payment details can be found in the invoice you've received. Contact us if you have not received an invoice.
What if you forgot the renewal?
Nomeo ensures there are a couple of safety nets for your domain, even if there's an oversight or payment issue. This includes the option to automatically renew your domain and timely reminders of its expiration date.
If your domain name was released unintentionally, contact us to re-activate your domain name. Domain owners have a 30 day grace window to renew their domain name before it is deleted. However, there might be an additional cost for re-activating your domain.
