Lock your domain name

'Locking' or locking a domain name means that the domain name cannot be transferred to another registrar (transfer) or transferred to another owner (trade).

When you lock a domain name, every transfer request is automatically denied. A domain lock can be enabled or disabled at any time and is available for most well-known domain extensions, such as .be, .com, and .eu.

Cybersquatting

People with malicious intent sometimes try to hijack domain names by transferring them to another registrar or changing the holder's details. This phenomenon is called cybersquatting. Locking or locking a domain name provides a solution against cybersquatting.
